About the role

Supports the Bakery team by handling tasks such as receiving and preparing product, maintaining displays, and selling products in alignment with Whole Foods Market's Work-from-Market (WFM) standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked.
  • Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas.
  • Maintains back stock in good order.
  • Aids in the sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing.
  • Performs periodic inventory checks.
  • Arrives on time, appropriately groomed, and ready to work; adheres to scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
  • Provides excellent customer service, addressing customer needs promptly and effectively, and models suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maximizes sales potential through proper procedures for product preparation, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
  • Fulfills opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
  • Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

Qualifications

  • No prior retail experience required.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Motions: bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • May require use of ladders.

Pay

$17.00 - $25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience.
