About the Role

Our Sales Clerks are responsible for ensuring our guests’ needs are met. You will be assigned to a primary area but will also be fully trained to assist customers in all areas of the store, including prepared foods and meat departments. To thrive in this position, you should be a team player who believes success comes from supporting an amazing team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the top priority for Team Members, guests, and products.
• Provide unparalleled guest service, striving to delight and surprise guests, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Cultivate a foodie culture by sharing excitement and passion for food with Team Members and guests.
• Demonstrate suggestive selling techniques and provide active sampling opportunities when appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floors, and ensure sanitation regulations are met.
• Stock cases by moving product from the delivery area to the proper shelf location.
• Assist guests by answering questions promptly and with a smile.
• Order product as needed by scanning shelf tags or using the order machine.
• Follow procedures to meet store out-of-stock percentage goals.
• Add new items to shelves by rearranging existing products and displaying them appropriately while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

• 0 to 6 months of experience required; prior experience in a related field is desired.
• Food safety knowledge is a plus.
• No high school diploma required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $15.00–$15.25 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and location.
