Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation by training, directing, motivating, evaluating, and disciplining team members.
- Prepare bread, cakes, and pastries and other items as needed for all occasions, including preparing dough and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate.
- Review production and requisition sheets to understand the variety of baked goods to be produced daily.
- Manage time effectively to produce all required baked goods in an efficient and consistent manner.
- Operate all bakery equipment and adhere to recipes and production guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and monitor inventory levels, manage ordering, and control waste to meet food cost goals.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including conducting regular walkthroughs and inspections.
- Support during peak service times to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure positive experiences and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and support overall business success.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Food and Beverage bakery.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Mandatory completion of Basic Food Safety & Sanitation Training, ServSafe Training, and ServSafe Alcohol.
- Ability to comply with all company, divisional, and state laws regarding minor labor laws.
- Prior Food & Beverage experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to remain patient, poised, and alert to cope with challenging/unique situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently.
- Ability to complete daily tasks without constant supervision.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
