Drive sales in the Bakery department and supervise hourly associates to deliver high-quality products to members at competitive prices. Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations while modeling expertise in bakery operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the Bakery team to execute the business plan, communicate department goals, and ensure adherence to company policies while advocating for members, associates, and the company.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of bakery operations, including floor and backroom processes, product specifications, and seasonality, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Train and equip team members with product knowledge, new recipes, and production specifications to perform their roles effectively.
- Leverage digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and enhance associate engagement. Use handheld technology for real-time decisions on production, training, and product quality.
- Ensure operational excellence by maintaining a clean, safe work environment, planning and staffing for weekly bakery volumes, and driving consistency in quality, food safety, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate inventory, audit, and compliance standards, and produce/display merchandise according to the layout plan.
- Identify training needs, develop team skills, and encourage career growth while sourcing new talent internally and externally.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers, analyzing information, and monitoring progress.
- Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity, using the Open Door Policy to address issues.

Requirements
- 6 months of experience in a bakery production department or 6 months of experience supervising a team.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in bakery production, including decorating.
- Supervisory experience.
- Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
