About the role

Janesville Part-Time Bakery Evening Supervisor at Festival Foods. Reports to the Bakery Manager. Lead and support the Bakery department, onboard new associates, and ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Bakery department in the absence of the Bakery Manager.
  • Develop associates and provide excellent guest service.
  • Train and guide new evening Bakery clerks and cleaners.
  • Maintain excellence by monitoring sales floor, prep area, back room, cooler, and freezer conditions.
  • Offer assistance to guests, handle phone inquiries, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Ensure quality and safety by keeping supplies replenished, maintaining food safety logs, and meeting quantity expectations.
  • Support the team with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide outstanding customer service and work effectively with guests and team members. Communication Skills: Oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment. Food Service Expertise: Knowledge of retail food service, bakery and pastry operations, with a strong understanding of food service standards and practices. Safety and Efficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of safety requirements and the ability to apply on-the-job safety training and safety policies to handle equipment and recognize and react potential hazards effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand in place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly (70% of the time).
  • Full range of upper body motion.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis (30% of the time).
  • May be exposed to extreme temperatures (20% of the time).

Work Schedule

This full-time position is dedicated to the evening shift.
