Responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards
• Filling orders at the bakery counter with accuracy and friendliness
• Awareness of department products, procedures, and policies for answering customer inquiries
• Maintaining a visually appealing display of products and ensuring display cases are clean and stocked
• Meeting or exceeding productivity targets to achieve team and individual goals
• Following rotation procedures to prevent the use of stale or outdated products
• Ensuring the bakery is prepared for the next shift or day’s business
• Contributing to a clean and safe environment for customers and coworkers
• Complying with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures
• Operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment safely and competently
• Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
• Performing basic mathematical and reading skills necessary for the role
• Promoting sales by suggesting additional products or services
• Resolving customer complaints professionally and escalating when necessary
• Handling incoming shipments of bakery ingredients and stocking them appropriately
• Supporting the company by performing additional tasks, assisting other stores or departments, and acquiring new skills

Requirements

• Obtain a food handling permit within 14 days of employment
• Participation in ongoing training and development as outlined in the Cosentino’s Learning Plan
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and reading skills
• Physical abilities to reach overhead, twist, lift up to 20 lbs, stand and walk for long periods, bend, squat, and work in cold environments
