Bakery Clerk

About the role

The Bakery Clerk plays a key role in day‑to‑day bakery operations. Working alongside the Bakery Sales Manager, the Baker’s Helper helps plan the day’s production, gathers ingredients, follows recipes with accuracy, and assists with baking tasks from start to finish. The position also involves providing courteous, helpful service to customers, offering product information, answering questions, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough and glaze pastries.
• Assist with baking tasks from start to finish.
• Plan daily production alongside the Bakery Sales Manager.
• Gather ingredients and follow recipes with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Apply icing to baked goods.
• Monitor oven temperatures.
• Ensure products meet quality standards.
• Provide courteous, helpful service to customers.
• Offer product information and answer customer questions.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
