Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs.
• Assists customers with product retrieval, loading/unloading, and making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests.
• Reviews orders for the day and prepares, finishes, and replenishes products as necessary.
• Maintains cleanliness and adherence to department guidelines.
• Operates department registers, handles payments, and maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress codes.
• Reports to work on time and as scheduled.

Requirements

• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to do simple addition and subtraction.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Possess the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Must be able to perform the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Qualifications

• Less than high school or equivalent experience and six months of less of similar or related work experience.
