Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.
• Greets customers with a smile and addresses them by name when possible.
• Assists customers with their shopping needs, such as escorting them to products, securing items, loading/unloading heavy items, and passing along customer suggestions or requests.
• Reviews orders for the day and prepares/replenishes products as necessary.
• Ensures the department is clean and neat, adhering to proper sanitation procedures.
• Runs the department registers, handles payments, and provides change.
• Maintains an adequate food supply and prepares products according to a production list.
• Washes dishes as necessary, orders supplies, prices products, delivers orders, and assists in other areas of the store as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to do simple addition and subtraction.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Ability to write identifying information.
• Must be able to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
• Must possess visual abilities including clarity of vision, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision.
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to work in a store environment with exposure to flour dust, noise, cleaning chemicals/solvents, electrical shock, and temperature extremes.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or equivalent experience.
• Less than six months of similar or related work experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $14.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This position typically works a standard 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend hours as needed.
