About the role

The Bakery Clerk at El Super is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized bakery area, and assisting customers with their purchases.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in the bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases and clean shelving and display cases.
• Fills and rotates self-service displays in the front of the store and adjacent to the bakery.
• Work with customers to take special orders and assist the baker with baking or decorating items.
• Help maintain department cleanliness by hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively communicate with customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 45 pounds occasionally, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).
