Bakery Clerk - #36 Salinas (ages 16-17)

About the role

The Bakery Clerk - #36 position at El Super requires candidates to have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively communicate with customers. Additional qualifications include basic PC/Outlook skills and a Retail Management Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in the bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases.
• Fills and rotates self-serve displays.
• Work with customers on special orders.
• Collaborate with the Baker to prepare and decorate items as needed.
• Assist in maintaining department cleanliness by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

Qualifications

Must be 16 years old and above, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Physical stamina for lifting and moving goods.
