Bakery Clerk - #32 Fontana - Sierra

About the role

The Bakery Clerk position at El Super requires candidates to have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Writing simple correspondence is also expected. The role involves providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service to the Bakery department, assisting customers with bakery purchases, cleaning shelving and display cases, filling and rotating self-service displays, taking special orders, and helping with department cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to the Bakery department.
• Aid customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases.
• Fills and rotates self-service displays.
• Take special orders.
• Work with the Baker to determine baking or decorating needs.
• Help with department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

Qualifications

• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification.
