Bakery Clerk - #31 Fontana - Foothill

About the role

The Bakery Clerk at El Super performs customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. They assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases, fill and rotate self-service displays, take special orders, and work with the baker to prepare orders.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases
• Clean shelving and display cases
• Fills and rotates self-service displays
• Takes special orders
• Works with the baker to prepare orders
• Helps with department cleaning by hosing down floors

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate
