About the role

The Bakery Clerk at El Super performs various tasks within the bakery department, providing customer service and assisting with bakery purchases.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases
• Clean shelving and display cases
• Fills and rotates self-serve displays
• Works with customers on special orders
• Collaborates with the Baker to determine baking or decorating needs
• Helps with department cleaning by hosing down floors

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate
