About the role

The Bakery Clerk at El Super performs various tasks within the bakery department, providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers. Essential functions include assisting with bakery purchases, cleaning shelving and display cases, filling and rotating self-service displays, taking special orders, and helping with department cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases
• Clean and fill shelving and display cases
• Fills and rotates self-service displays in the front of the store and adjacent to the bakery
• Work with customers to take special orders
• Work with the baker to determine baking or decorating needs
• Help with department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds

Qualifications
