Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds
• Clean shelves and display cases
• Fills and rotates self serve displays in the front of the store and adjacent to the store bakery
• Takes special orders from customers
• Determines which items may need to be baked or decorated with the Baker
• Helps in the department cleaning by hosing down the floors with soap and water to ensure the department cleanliness
• Work in a fast-paced grocery store environment
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling
• Have visual and auditory requirements

Requirements

• Ability to read and write Spanish/English
• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required
