About the role
The Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. They assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases, fill and rotate self-service displays, take special orders, and work with the baker to prepare items.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with bakery purchases
- Clean shelving and display cases
- Fills and rotates self-service displays
- Takes special orders
- Works with the baker to prepare items
- Helps in department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water
Requirements
- Ability to read and write Spanish/English
- Ability to interact with general public and co-workers
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds
Qualifications
- Basic PC/Outlook skills
- Retail Management Certificate
