Bakery Cake Designer - Department: Bakery

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
• Escorts customers to products they're looking for
• Sets up timelines and production schedules
• Decorates bakery items in a timely manner
• Ensures department standards are met
• Checks orders for details and supplies
• Delivers product and sets up wedding cakes
• Communicates with bakery manager
• Wraps all product as necessary
• Assists in other areas of the store as needed

Requirements

• High school or equivalent experience
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Ability to do arithmetic calculations
• Ability to file, post, and mail materials
• Ability to interview to obtain basic information
• Ability to guide people and provide basic direction
• Physical requirements: Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Vision, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision must be within normal limits.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Must understand and practice proper sanitation procedures and ensure the work area is always clean and neat.
• Must adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines.
