Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return.
  • Aid the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards.
  • Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to provide excellent customer service.
  • Display a positive attitude and understand the store's layout.
  • Stay current with store promotions and inventory conditions.
  • Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping, customer or employee accidents, and safety risks.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Perform tasks such as preparing bakery items, offering product samples, informing customers of specials, and maintaining inventory.

Requirements

  • Minimum ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • Current food handlers permit.
  • Bakery experience preferred.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Desired second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
