About the role

As the Line Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation of all foods during an assigned shift, in accordance with Grand Casino’s specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, seasoning, finishing, and garnishing all food in kitchen preparation in accordance with established recipes.
• Following all recipes and production specifications.
• Knowledge and execution of menus.
• Assisting in all areas of food production as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with state health regulations.
• Participating as a team member with Supervisors, Chefs, Cooks, FOH and all other pertinent Associates in ensuring an efficiently run operation.
• Knowing and following all safety and security regulations in accordance with Grand Casino’s policy and procedures.
• Executing and prioritizing multiple orders with efficiency, quality and adhering to food safety practices.
• Having knowledge and being able to execute in other outlets of Food and Beverage.
• Performing other assigned duties related to this role, contributing to the overall success of the department.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of restaurant kitchen production experience, with a minimum of one (1) year of cooking experience preferred.
• Serv‑Safe Certification preferred.
• Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
• Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
