About the Role

We are looking for a Baker with basic knowledge and skills to properly build cakes, including filling, icing, and decorating. This position allows for creative freedom and fun with cake designs. You will also be responsible for baking quick breads, croissants, filling orders, and maintaining quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery products while maintaining quality and consistency of finished goods.
• Perform bakery duties including weighing, sifting, measuring, and mixing baking ingredients.
• Bake quick breads, rolls, cookies, muffins, croissants, pies, cakes, biscuits, and other items per schedule.
• Properly build cakes including filling, icing, decorating, making ganache, mousse, and buttercream.
• Maintain bakery case production for quality, expiration dates, and visual aesthetics.
• Clean shelves, machinery (Hobart, scales, ovens, and baking tables), glass, and visible areas.
• Follow standard protocols, such as wearing gloves when handling product and maintaining hygiene.
• Clean up during production to maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of bakery workflow.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Able to prioritize work and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store, including the selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable with repeated lifting, bending, and twisting.
