About the role

Take on the vital role of Baker, where you'll thrive in a fast-paced and often hectic environment that requires collaboration, precision, and adaptability. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods and pastries for the Theme Park and catering events, all while adhering strictly to established recipes, sanitation guidelines, and health codes. This role involves working closely with a team to meet tight deadlines, handle high-volume production, and maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency. Your skills and dedication will help create delicious experiences that delight our guests and support seamless event execution.

Responsibilities

• Set up and breakdown stations according to USH Production Kitchen guidelines and restock all items as needed throughout shift, while moving through various assignments throughout the shift.
• Prepare product using all methods of baking and pastry preparation using established recipes, portions and methods prescribed by the Company in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean work area, including the washing of pots, pans and other kitchen items and taking out trash while following established safety standards and safe food handling guidelines.
• Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety food preparation and handling practices and ensure department standards are maintained and safety policies for the Park upheld.
• Promote and provide extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests; answer questions and offer information in a courteous manner. Seek to provide assistance to guests.
• Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for both team members and guests of all ages, following all company guidelines and protocols.
• Identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts or disturbances professionally and effectively to maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Provide a positive and welcoming experience for guests of all ages while maintaining composure during difficult interactions.
• Maintain a high level of trust and integrity to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues of all ages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Previous Culinary Experience Preferred.
• Culinary Degree Preferred.

Job Demands

• Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• The noise level is generally moderate to high.
• Team Members are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Depending on the assigned location, work can be almost exclusively outdoors.

Schedule

Must be available to work at least 4 days per week throughout the peak seasons to include a rotation of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

$24 per hour
