About the role
Bakers are responsible for arriving at the bakery at 4 AM to prepare the baked products offered for sale at the cafe.
Responsibilities
- Fill and roll pastries
- Proof croissants
- Bake pastries and breads
- Maintain quality standards of baked good products
- Properly follow all baking techniques, routines, and recipes to ensure products are consistent in flavor, texture, and size
- Learn all recipes and methods and maintain quality independently
- Maintain a clean and safe work space
- Follow standardized recipes for all products produced for sale
- Keep daily production records
- Maintain a list of items to be ordered
Qualifications
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed directions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Ability to lift 20 lbs
- Positive and service-oriented attitude
