About the role
As a Baker Assistant, you will assist the Bakers in baking, plating, and measuring different items throughout the bakery.
Responsibilities
- Perform various operations, including rolling, cutting, baking, scaling, weighing, mixing, measuring, and ingredient preparation
- Stock and maintain walk-in and reach-in refrigerators, as well as dry storage areas
- Monitor sanitation, spoilage, and supply waste
- Identify various forms of dough and bakery ingredients
- Adhere to recipes, food preparation instructions, and production guidelines
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working in a bakery setting (ideal)
- Knowledge of basic bakery and pastry production techniques
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
- Ability to pass a background check if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references
