About the role
The Bakery/Packager Associate prepares fresh baked items daily for Sam's Club members, following recipes and organizing merchandise to ensure freshness and member satisfaction. Tasks include sweeping up spills, assisting members, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to build a strong bakery team, communicate effectively, and adapt to business needs.
- Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs, operating baking equipment, following recipes, and adhering to food safety standards.
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions.
- Maintain a clean, member-ready area; ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items; secure merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and package, label, and store merchandise according to company policies.
- Model high-quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest level of quality; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; implement related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Outstanding multitasking and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to greet and thank members.
- Ability to stand for long periods while assisting members.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00* with potential additional premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Schedule
Hours vary based on department needs and may include evening and weekend shifts.
