Baker and Packager Associate
About the role
The Bakery/Packager associate prepares fresh baked items daily for our members through following recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure the freshest items are available. The role involves juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area by ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting members, answering their questions, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates, such as using handheld technology for immediate business decisions.
- Ensure operational excellence by maintaining work areas according to company policies, managing quality and date control standards, and eliminating waste.
- Model high-quality service and products by advocating for the department and the club, executing the basics at the highest level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and adapting to change.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks requiring physical effort.
- Positive attitude and ability to greet and thank members.
- Problem-solving skills to tackle obstacles and ensure tasks are completed with excellence.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
