Baker and Packager Associate

About the role

The Bakery/Packager associate prepares fresh baked items daily for our members through following recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure the freshest items available. The role involves juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
• Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate effectively, and adapt to the needs of the business.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates.
• Ensure commitment to operational excellence by maintaining work area, adhering to quality and date control standards, and eliminating waste.
• Model high-quality service and products, execute the basics at the highest level, and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle obstacles head-on.

Skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with digital tools and hand-held technology.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
