Baker and Packager Associate

About the role

Prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through following recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure freshness.

Help members with their bakery orders in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
• Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate effectively, and adapt to team needs.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates.
• Ensure commitment to operational excellence by maintaining work area, adhering to quality and date control standards, and eliminating waste.
• Model high-quality service and products, advocating for the department and the club, and executing the basics at the highest level of quality.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, and participate in training and assessments.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, and adapting to changes and feedback.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Positive attitude, ability to stand for long periods, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work in other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with digital tools and hand-held technology.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00, with additional premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
