About the role

Nugget Markets is seeking dedicated bakers to join our talented and passionate bakery team. This full-time position is ideal for someone with experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly during early morning hours with shifts starting as early as 1:00am. You may be asked to work at one of the following locations: Granite Bay, Roseville - Pleasant Grove, Roseville - Blue Oaks, Rocklin, or West Sacramento.

Responsibilities

• Bake, merchandise, and package goods such as bagels, croissants, cookies, and other pastries.
• Load carts and racks with product; lift and stack flour.
• Operate kitchen machinery including ovens, proofers, and mixers while maintaining a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment.
• Assist bakery clerks and provide world-class service to guests as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must have intermediate product knowledge, including understanding of temperature, chemical reactions, and bakery products.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
• Basic understanding of the English language, including the ability to communicate and read instructions, schedules, and signage.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
