About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Bakery Manager, the Baker is responsible for preparing and baking a high volume of bakery products in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. This position prepares ingredients and bakery items for production, ensures products are baked consistently to meet quality standards, and performs related preparation, cleaning, and sanitation duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and bakery items for production

Requirements

• Valid Food Handler Card or equivalent food safety certification
• Capable of performing physical activities such as lifting, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling in a fast‑paced grocery store environment
• Ability to meet visual and auditory requirements necessary to perform assigned duties
• Willingness to perform heavy lifting

Schedule

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
