About the role

The Bag Machine Operator is responsible for learning Liquibox production positions, including basic machine operation and quality testing, to advance career growth and productivity. The role involves operating and maintaining bag lines to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.

This is a night shift position with a $1.00 shift premium and a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Assist in setting up and operating bag machines and supporting equipment according to product specifications and schedules.
  • Train for routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to make repairs as directed.
  • Supply raw materials to the production floor, pack finished goods, and lift boxes of materials to load machines.
  • Ensure quality standards are upheld; report and handle suspect or defective products appropriately.
  • Fill in and relieve for other production floor positions as assigned.
  • Operate hoists to push and pull rolls for machine loading.
  • Assist in printing and supplying correct parts labels.
  • Make tape splices at the bag machine packing station.
  • Train on process and material workflow to aid in supplying raw materials, packaging materials, and supplies from the warehouse to the machine.
  • Perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring tapes and product specifications with mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient computer skills.
