Responsibilities
- Teach private and group lessons from beginner to advanced level players.
- Aid in organizing and running organized open play throughout the week.
- Maintain fairness in playing time distribution among participants.
- Develop and run programs aimed at enhancing player skill and knowledge.
- Organize and officiate tournaments and mixers throughout the year.
- Support the membership team in fostering the Badminton community at the club.
Requirements
- Willing to work daytime, evenings, and weekends.
- Capable of working up to 15 hours per week.
- Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, and reaching.
- Skilled in building positive relationships with members across various age groups.
- Positive, friendly, and energetic personality.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable about the basics of Badminton, strategy, shot selection, and court awareness.
- Strong understanding of Badminton rules and regulations.
Preferred but not Required
- Obtain Badminton Coaching certification through the International Badminton Federation (IBF) within 6 months of employment.
Pay
Hourly wage for supervising open play sessions and commission for teaching lessons.
Schedule
The club hours are 6 am to 9 pm on weekdays and 7 am to 5 pm on weekends. The position requires 10 – 15 hours per week based on the number of lessons and programming scheduled.
