Backup Yard Driver

About the role

As a Backup Yard Driver, you safely & efficiently move materials between the warehouse and production areas using a forklift, as well as transport trailers across the external areas of the facility as needed. Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to transport raw materials and finished goods between the warehouse and production areas.
• Load and unload trucks for Shipping & Receiving.
• Act as a backup to move trailers from yard area into assigned docks and then secure/lock trailer to assure no movement until released.
• Follow all company and local work rules, safety rules and policies, BOS work instructions and SAP standards and activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience.
• Minimum of six months of experience driving semi‑trailers (through work experience and/or a training program).

Qualifications

• Ability to work 12‑hour night shift (5:00 pm – 5:10 am) on a rotating 3‑2‑2‑3 schedule.

Skills

• Forklift operation.
• Semi‑trailer driving.
• Adherence to safety and work rules.
• Basic SAP/BOS instruction compliance.

Pay

• Base pay: $20.50 per hour.
• Night shift differential: +$1.50 per hour.
• Double‑time pay on Sundays (regular schedule every other Sunday).

Schedule

Night shift: 5:00 pm – 5:10 am, 12‑hour shifts on a standard rotating 2‑week cycle (3 days on week 1, then 4 days on week 2). Every other weekend off.
