Backup CDL A Driver/TEQ

Overall Goal

Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of different types of goods from warehouse to warehouse and warehouse to the customer location and vice-versa.

Role Objectives

• Safely and efficiently transport goods
• To execute the company policy
• To ensure full compliance with legal OSHA and ISO requirements
• When not transporting products, you will be helping in the yard with TEQ

Duties and Responsibilities

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle
• Pickup and safely transport goods to the intended destination
• Assist with loading and unloading goods, strapping, etc.
• Ensure contents are properly secured to prevent damage/injury
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries
• Communicate with the office and/or warehouse as needed
• Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document
• Perform inspections of your vehicle at the beginning and end of each shift and report any problems or damage to management
• Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Adhere to company safety rules, regulations guidelines, policies, and sitespecific safety plans; comply with DOT regulations

Environmental, Health & Safety

• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment [PPE]
• Participate in company sponsored safety training
• Follow safe work practices
• Report unsafe/hazardous conditions
• Comply with the company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality [HSEQ] Policy, E002 General
• Work on continuous improvement of all facets under your responsibility and document results
• Selfdevelopment
• Any other duties for which you are deemed capable of by senior management

Requirements

• Current CDL A license
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules & regulations
• Adaptability & foresight to handle unexpected situations [traffic, weather conditions, etc.]
• Forklift experience
• Willing to submit to drug checks
• Must complete a successful background screen
• Willing & able to work in a teambased environment
