Background Investigator

About the role

We are currently seeking National Training Standard (NTS) certified Credentialed Background Investigators nationally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals and review appropriate records to obtain facts to resolve all material issues in a case or to establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject under investigation.
• Document all information received and submit a detailed report of investigation within a strict timeline.

Requirements

• A sense of mission in support of national security initiatives.
• An impeccable work ethic, integrity, and can-do attitude.
• Ability to walk, type, sit, or stand for long periods of time.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, such as typing detailed, extensive, and lengthy reports.
• Experience conducting background investigations.
• Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Proven quality, timeliness, and production metrics.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a favorable determination based on a Single Scope Background Investigation.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required as driving is an essential function of this position.
• May use public transportation if available, and practical.
• Must be willing to travel locally daily dependent on assignment location.
• Clearance: Favorable adjudication Top- Secret Clearance based on a T5 or Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

Qualifications

• A University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
