Backfill - Travel - RRT

Location: Vidalia, GA – 1 Meadows Parkway

Shift: Night shift, 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM, 13-week assignment

About the Unit

• 8 ICU beds, 12 PCU beds, 32 Medical-Surgical-Teletrack (MST) beds, 26-bed Emergency Department, LDRP (5 Postpartum, 6 Labor, 2-bay triage, Level 1 Nursery)
• Patient ratios:
  • With 2 therapists: 1 RT assigned to MST/ED and 1 RT assigned to ICU/PCU/LDRP
  • With 3 therapists: assignments divided further based on census and acuity
• 2–3 therapists on each shift
• Unit secretaries and techs available
• Equipment: Hamilton C6 and PB 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Airvo, V60 BiPAP, Bubble CPAP
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Scheduling: Minimum of every other weekend required
• Floating: Not applicable
• Patient experience: AIDET framework
• Hospital is Joint Commission accredited
• Recent addition of new Hamilton C6 ventilators
• Open to block scheduling (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) if interested
• Respiratory therapists do not currently perform intubations; competency checkoff in progress

Responsibilities

• Perform ABGs, oxygen nebulizer treatments, ventilator management, BiPAP management
• Qualify patients for home oxygen therapy
• Administer CPT vest therapy and high-flow oxygen management
• Manage Bubble CPAP and perform EKGs

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Current CRT or RRT licensure
• Credentialed and active member of NBRC
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• Dress code: Scrubs (gray, black, or navy)
