About The Role SITE Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Lead Backend Software Engineer to spearhead the development and evolution of its backend systems. This role is a blend of technical leadership and hands-on engineering, requiring the individual to manage a small team of senior backend engineers while actively contributing to architecture, implementation, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a pragmatic, product-oriented mindset and possess strong skills in designing reliable, scalable backend systems. The Lead Engineer will collaborate closely with product managers, frontend teams, data specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions encompassing geospatial data, imagery, asset workflows, reporting, third-party integrations, and AI-driven product features. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical direction of a growing company and work on cutting-edge AI and geospatial projects.
