Backend Software Engineer (Payments & Partnerships)
Location: Waltham, MA (hybrid 3 days in office)

As a Backend Software Engineer, you’ll work with the latest backend technologies and programming languages. We use server-side Kotlin, produce clean, testable code, and push to production several times a day via our CI/CD pipeline. You’ll support and own our Payments & Partnerships domain.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product, marketing, and front-end engineers to rapidly iterate on our product and solve challenges.
- Take ownership of features from inception through design, coding, and production with high quality and test coverage.
- Leverage AI and LLM-powered tools to improve developer productivity and experimentation.
Requirements
- At least 6+ years of proven experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in Java/Kotlin or similar languages (Python, .NET).
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent (required).
- Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts and best practices.
- Hands-on development experience in highly distributed, cloud-based environments (AWS preferred, any cloud experience is a plus).
- Experience working with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
- Adaptable, with a passion for quickly learning new technologies and working effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to navigate and work across diverse domains and contexts.

Pay
US annual base salary range for this full-time position: $163,000—$220,000 USD.
