Backend Software Engineer Graduate (Machine Moderation Platform) - 2027 Start

About the role

The Trust and Safety (TnS) engineering team is responsible for protecting our users from harmful content and abusive behaviors. We build content moderation process systems, rule engines, strategy systems, feature engines, moderation platforms, data platforms, risk insight systems, and supportive platforms across the TnS organization.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the overall architecture design and implementation of the data application platforms of TnS, formulating data application architecture specifications and leading the team to implement them.
• Optimize the data application architecture, continuously improving system stability and efficiency while reducing the complexity and cost of storage, calculation, and service architecture.
• Design and implement systematic support for data integration, offline development, real-time development, data governance, and BI analysis.
• Establish technical influence inside and outside the department, cultivate talent, effectively coach the team, and improve R&D capabilities.

Requirements

• Completing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or a related discipline.
• Experience with software development in at least one of the following programming languages: C++, Python, or Java.
• Proficiency in server technology stacks (RPC, message queues, link tracking, service governance) in distributed/high-concurrency scenarios.
• Experience with big data systems and related technologies (Spark, Flink, ClickHouse, HBase, etc.).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with data insight and related technologies (machine learning, statistical analysis) is preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $121,600 – $243,200 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Eligible roles may include additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
