Backend Software Engineer

About the role

This role is primarily a full-time, in-person position based in Washington, DC, where close collaboration with our RF engineers and hardware team is essential. That said, we will consider strong candidates for remote work depending on experience and fit.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable services to process large volumes of RF data
• Develop APIs for integrations
• Help shape the foundation of our distributed system
• Work closely with RF engineers, data scientists, and front-end developers to deliver mission-critical technology that has real-world impact

Requirements

• Experience with backend development
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Passionate about drone detection and national security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
