Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable microservices using Go, Java, or Node.js in a containerized Kubernetes environment
• Optimize data storage layers using PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch for high-volume read/write workloads
• Develop and document robust RESTful and gRPC APIs that support web and mobile clients
• Implement asynchronous message-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ to decouple critical backend processes
• Establish rigorous observability pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to proactively detect and debug production issues

What We Are Looking For

• 3–8 years of software engineering experience focusing on backend systems at scale
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language: Go, Java, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js
• Strong relational database design skills (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and experience with NoSQL systems
• Proven experience building and maintaining distributed systems, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
• BS or MS in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Bonus: Experience with GraphQL federated graphs, event-sourcing patterns, or infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
