About the role
Responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems using Python. Will work closely with a team to build scalable and efficient applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Python and web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FAST.
- Work with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cassandra.
- Implement and manage containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Write tests using Pytest and other automated testing frameworks.
- Collaborate with the team on software development methodologies and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Utilize version control systems like Git with complex branching strategies.
- Engage in DevOps practices and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with Python and at least one web framework (Django, Flask, FAST).
- Experience with SQL and database management.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Cassandra).
- Experience with message brokers (Apache Kafka).
- Proficiency in Linux operating system.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with object-oriented design (OOD).
- Experience with API development (RESTful API design and implementation).
- Experience with testing and debugging (Pytest, automated testing frameworks).
- Experience with DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Qualifications
- US Citizen, Green Card, OPT-EAD, CPT, H-1B, H4-EAD, L2-EAD, GC-EAD.
