Backend Developer – NodeJS / NestJS

About the role

We are looking for a curious, open-minded Backend Developer – NodeJS / NestJS to join our team and help us change the world.

Responsibilities

• Work with the NestJS technology to create microservices that serve various purposes
• Create new or improve existing REST API & GraphQL endpoints
• Use various techniques to prepare the microservices for large-scale usage (up to thousands of requests/s)
• Write code according to our best practices and define new best practices where applicable
• Participate in deciding the technological stack and path of our microservices and development practices
• Track down complex bugs and implement fixes without regressions

Requirements

• 2+ years of work experience in developing complex microservices
• Deep understanding of how NodeJS works as well as its related components (experience in the ExpressJS / NestJS framework is a plus)
• Awareness of how profiling tools are used to improve performance
• Accustomed to using GIT
• Passion for experiencing new technologies and understanding their applicability
• Very good knowledge of JavaScript (the bad, the good, and the great parts)
• Great team player with good interpersonal skills, adaptability, and flexibility
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills in Arabic & English
• Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and solve problems on your own
