Back Office Cashiering Clerk.
About the role
The Vehicle Services Unit exists to ensure compliance with the laws that govern the vehicle title and registration process as outlined in the Colorado Revised Statutes. This position is primarily an on-site position. The employee may be required, on occasion, to work from home for brief periods of time.
Responsibilities
- Acceptance or rejection of applications and associated fees
- Analysis of documents to ensure completeness
- Validating requests to process
- Accept and record payments
- Mail record search requests and secured inventory
- Processing payments for duplicate title applicants, motor vehicle records searches, horseless carriage, and low powered scooter
- Reconciling cash drawer and cash receipt reports of physical monies collected

Requirements

- Experience Only: Two (2) years of relevant experience in General Clerical and/or Cashiering.
- Education And Experience: A combination of related education in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, Management, Information Technology, or similar fields and/or relevant experience in General Clerical and/or Cashiering equal to two (2) years.
- Preferred Qualifications: One plus years working in a complex, high volume regulatory workplace; career progression in a general clerical and/or customer service position; strong analytical skills; organized time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail; experience working on a team; ability to adapt to a changing work environment; experience working in a fast paced, high stress environment; experience or familiarity working in Google Suite; experience or familiarity working with complex issues utilizing statute or job aides; previous audit experience.
Qualifications
- Residency Requirement: Must become a resident of the State of Colorado.
- Conditions Of Employment With The CDOR: Residency; public trust; filing CIIT returns and paying tax obligations; pre-employment evaluation of tax records/accounts; successful background investigation and reference check; compliance with universal driving standards policy; pull MVRs for review; operate a vehicle as part of the position; utilize a State fleet vehicle as a pool vehicle.
