Responsibilities
Production Line Operator assist Production Line Mechanic with all direct and indirect production equipment, such as: feeders, slitters, welders, conveyors, elevators, flangers, beaders, double seamers, tester, palletizers, strappers etc. Essential Functions include operating and assisting Production Line Mechanic in maintaining production line efficiencies, quality of production and records, performing quality checks, working under the direction of Production Line Mechanic, following all required environmental, health and safety procedures, and maintaining proper housekeeping and safety – keeping work area clean.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred)
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Exhibit safety and quality as their top priorities
- Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with metal coatings is a plus
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand continuously for more than 8+ hours per shift, walk, lift/carry up to 50 lbs on occasion, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, twist at the waist and bend repetitively. This position may also require climbing or balancing. Must be able to work up to twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.
