As a Back End Developer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities
- Develop Java/Spring web applications
- Support and extend running applications and assist in the design and development of new applications
- Aggressive refactoring
- Object Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture design
- Participate in the planning process: take high-level design discussions and create user stories, then further break those stories into tasks
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of relevant application software development experience
- Test-Driven Development experience
- Strong Spring knowledge
- Experience developing Spring/Java/Groovy/Maven applications
- Experience in developing/consuming REST Services – Absolute Must
- Object-oriented programming and experience with working knowledge of Design Patterns
- Experience with emergent design and paired programming
- High comfort level with Unix/Linux command line
- Strong unit-testing skills (Junit/Spock in particular)
- Comfortable with database (DB) and Kafka-related development, including design, implementation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures
Pay
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $125,000 or the hourly equivalent. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
