C------------ is an online childcare platform that lets creative sitters market their unique talents and enhanced babysitting skills to families in NYC. As an invite-only marketplace, you’ll create a "Kid Expert" profile, set your own rates and offerings, and receive session requests for one-off or recurring gigs—babysitting, private lessons, and more. Connect with families, accept bookings, and get paid directly through the site or app.

About the role

We’re especially interested in individuals who can commit to part-time, recurring after-school hours (2–5 days a week, typically between 2–7 pm). If you’re a childcare pro seeking consistent hours with 1–2 families, can navigate after-school routines, and possibly handle dinnertime or bedtime, this gig is for you.

There’s a one-time $39 activation fee to upload and vet your profile, which includes a background check and reference verification—visible to families to help you get booked quickly.

Requirements

• Two years of professional babysitting or nannying experience (outside your own family/relatives).
• Consistent, recurring after-school availability (2–5 days per week, generally Mon–Fri, 2–7 pm).
• Excellent communication skills—prompt, enthusiastic, and great at brightening kids’ days.
• Ability to infuse your talents and passions into childcare sessions, inspiring kids with new skills and topics.
• Bring your own supplies, fun ideas, and games to elevate the babysitting experience (we’re looking for Kid Experts!).
• Additional experience in classrooms, camps, or group settings is a bonus.
