B2B Copywriter
About the role
This role simplifies complex financial and technology solutions, supports informed buyer decisions, and crafts persuasive copy designed to capture search intent and convert readers into leads primarily for Business.org. Working cross-functionally with SEO Specialists, Content Managers, and other stakeholders, the B2B Copywriter develops content aligned with search intent, business objectives, and the needs of SMB decision-makers. The candidate brings strong research and writing skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to create review, comparison, and authoritative resource content for the B2B buyer journey. This position contributes to audience engagement, brand credibility, and conversion performance by producing content that builds trust in Business.org’s expertise and effectively communicates value to SMB audiences.
Responsibilities
- Research, test, and write content about products and services across SMB finance and tech industries, specifically business loans, banking, checking, accounting, POS, and business credit cards.
- Write authoritative, differentiated resource content that makes business finance concepts accessible, actionable, and engaging for small business owners.
- Develop high-performing CTAs, product reviews, comparison tables, cost calculators, and landing pages that drive leads and conversions.
- Partner with the Content Marketing Manager and SEO Specialist to align content with SEO strategies, target keywords, and audience needs.
- Adapt content to reflect the unique voice of Business.org (approachable, SMB-focused, and authoritative).
- Analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics and make data-driven updates to maximize traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience writing for B2B audiences, specifically targeting SMBs.
- Demonstrated general literacy in SMB financial services.
- Strong portfolio showcasing B2B-focused content, including product reviews, comparison guides, blog posts, and resource content.
- Craft clear, engaging, and actionable copy tailored to the needs of SMB decision-makers.
- Apply on-page SEO principles, keyword integration, and writing for search intent.
- Research complex business financial and technology topics and translate technical jargon into user-friendly content.
- Work with content managers, SEO specialists, and design teams to align content strategy and execution.
- Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, or similar productivity software.
- Apply strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure error-free, high-quality content.
- A track record of creating content that drives traffic, engagement, and measurable business results.
Preferred Experience
- Experience writing about business financial services (business loans, banking, accounting, POS, business credit cards).
- Familiarity with financial compliance and regulatory writing.
- 2+ years of experience in digital content writing, journalism, content marketing, or related field.

Schedule
This role is remote-first. Candidates located outside of Utah and outside of commuting distance are eligible for fully remote work. Candidates residing within 50 miles of the Salt Lake City, Utah office must follow a hybrid schedule requiring 2–3 days in-office per week. For local hires, in-office collaboration is expected on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Wednesdays designated as a flex day based on team and manager needs; remaining workdays are remote depending on role requirements.
