B-Squad Football Coach
About the Role
Hastings High School is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as B-Squad Football Coach. This position reports to the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and Principal, who provide overall job objectives and observe performance. The coach will advise, coordinate, and support athletic personnel for the B-Squad team according to the expectations of the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and Principal.
This coach is expected to coordinate the instruction, training, and development of all athletes and coaches at this level in the sport; model a transformational, purpose-driven philosophy; represent a holistic definition of success; commit to personal development and collaboration; and display a values-based approach as a coach who develops people first, then the athlete.
Responsibilities
- Advise, coordinate, and support athletic personnel for the B-Squad team.
- Coordinate instruction, training, and development of all athletes and coaches at this level.
- Model a transformational, purpose-driven coaching philosophy.
- Represent a holistic definition of success for student-athletes.
- Commit to personal development and collaboration with staff and community.
- Display a values-based approach, prioritizing the development of the person over the athlete.
- Coach the athlete first, then the skill.
- Prioritize the needs of student-athletes over personal coaching objectives.
- Make a lasting, positive impact on the school community.
Requirements
- Successful high school and/or collegiate level coaching experience, and/or related successful experiences in educational leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Commitment to developing and maintaining positive relationships between the program and the local community.
Pay
$4,319 per season according to the ED MN - Teachers Master Agreement.
Benefits
This position does not qualify for benefits as it is a non-contracted role.
