About the role
The Manufacturing Supervisor position at IDEX Materials Science Solutions (MSS) in West Henrietta, NY, reports to the Manufacturing Manager. This role oversees all aspects of the manufacturing process, including materials, equipment, and facility maintenance, for the LSO Systems Value Streams. The primary responsibility is to ensure compliance with company and employee standards while leading by example.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision to all functions of the Manufacturing process, Materials, Equipment and Facility Maintenance activities for the LSO Systems Value streams including high precision optical system builds utilizing Electronics, Machined Metals, and Optical Lens components, along with quality activities that support these product lines.
- Achieve consistent and sustained manufacturing efficiency and process improvement through process leadership.
- Lead daily manufacturing meetings and develop clear and effective communication tools to advance employee engagement.
- Support the team members with consistent, clear, and engaging communication.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects and assist in the implementation of all CI actions by area.
- Interface with production planning to ensure attainable schedules are in place and deliver as expected.
- Work cross-functionally to resolve production issues, escalating when appropriate.
Requirements
- Technical Degree Preferred
- At least two-years of supervisory experience
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Capacity Management
- Manufacturing experience in a low volume high mix environment
- Production Planning experience desirable
- Experience with ERP systems preferred, especially JD Edwards
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with internal stakeholders

Benefits
- Total Rewards: Compensation range $69,200.00 - $103,800.00, depending on experience.
